Terms of Service

1. Booking and Payment

  • A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking.

  • The balance is due on the day of service via EFT, cash, or card (2.2% surcharge may apply).

  • Please reference your quotation or invoice number with payment.

  • A call-out fee applies for travel over 25 km from our base.

  • Minimum charge: $140.00 + GST.

2. Scheduling

  • Our work depends on weather conditions and staff availability. Inclement weather or other circumstances beyond our control may cause delays or rescheduling.

  • You will be notified as soon as possible of any changes to your project date.

3. Site Preparation and Safety

  • The customer is responsible for keeping children, pets, and other individuals away from the work area during and for 24 hours after cleaning for safety reasons.

  • The customer must remove or secure items around the cleaning area before work begins.

  • If our team needs to move any items (e.g. furniture, pots, décor), we are not responsible for damage or storage, and additional charges may apply.

4. Use of Water and Electricity

  • We may use your on-site water and electricity supply as needed to complete the job.

  • If no working supply is available, additional charges may apply for external sources.

  • Please ensure your water and power are switched on and in working order prior to arrival.

5. Liability and Limitations

  • We are not responsible for damage caused by pre-existing conditions such as:

    • Poor installation, defective materials, rot, loose fittings, corrosion, or aged gutters, cladding, or roofing.

    • Fading, oxidation, or discolouration made more visible by cleaning.

    • Loose mortar, cracked tiles, or degraded silicone.

  • We are not liable for damage caused by storms, extreme weather, or acts of God.

  • Some stains (e.g. hard water, sap, paint, fungus) cannot be fully removed by standard cleaning methods.

  • Additional charges apply for hard water stain removal if required.

6. Window Cleaning

  • Standard service includes glass only. Cleaning of frames, tracks, or sills must be agreed in writing and quoted separately.

  • Removal of paint, silicone, cement, or adhesives is excluded unless specified in the quote.

  • Using scrapers or blades may cause micro-scratches on glass. We are not liable for scratches resulting from debris removal.

7. Gutter Cleaning

  • Gutter cleaning is performed from the roof or ladder as appropriate.

  • If access is difficult, or alternate methods are requested, additional charges may apply.

  • We may attempt to clear blocked downpipes using a snake or hose, but we are not plumbers and cannot guarantee full clearance.

  • Hosing of gutters is optional and charged separately unless deemed necessary by our technician.

8. Roof Inspection

  • We provide basic roof inspections (e.g. cracked tiles, defective seals) as a courtesy only.

  • We are not roofing contractors and accept no responsibility for any roofing issues identified.

  • Photos before and after can be provided on request.

9. Pressure Cleaning

  • Pressure cleaning removes surface dirt but may not remove all stains.

  • We are not responsible for pre-existing loose tiles, grout, or poor drainage issues.

10. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due on completion of the work.

  • A 20% late fee applies to overdue invoices.

  • The customer agrees to pay any collection costs incurred for unpaid balances.

11. Property Protection

  • We take all reasonable precautions to prevent water intrusion, but cannot be held responsible for leaks due to pre-existing issues such as faulty seals, cracks, or poor waterproofing.

  • Please notify us in advance if there are any surfaces or materials that must not come into contact with cleaning solutions. Failure to do so releases us from responsibility for any resulting damage.

12. Acceptance

By accepting a quote, the client:

  • Agrees to all terms and conditions in this document.

  • Authorises Seaview Exterior Cleaning to carry out the specified work.

  • Releases the company from liability for property damage except in cases of proven negligence or wilful misconduct.

  • Acknowledges that Seaview Exterior Cleaning is not responsible for scratched glass, frames, tracks, roofs, gutters, pergolas, paving, paint, wood, trim, or windows affected by age, wear, or fragility.
